VeryDarkMan Questions B-Red’s Endorsement Deals After Lamborghini Purchase
Started by @oladotun ·
Social media commentator VeryDarkMan has questioned endorsement deals reportedly worth a combined ₦500 million linked to singer B-Red, amid debate over the funding of the musician’s Lamborghini Urus.
In a video uploaded to his YouTube channel on 20 October, VeryDarkMan challenged claims that earnings from Armstrong Paints and Evermark Homes explained the luxury purchase. B-Red is a son of Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke.
Reports of the remarks say VeryDarkMan pointed to what he described as identical serial numbers on oversized cheques displayed at separate endorsement presentations. He questioned how the documents could carry matching numbers and called on First City Monument Bank, whose branding appeared on them, to explain.
He also alleged that the endorsements concealed the source of the money. That allegation has not been independently substantiated in the material reviewed for this report, and the cheque images do not establish that public funds financed the vehicle.
There is, however, a documented history behind at least one of the partnerships. Armstrong Paints’ official website carries an announcement dated 5 February 2025 naming B-Red as its brand ambassador, well before the present controversy.
Independent Newspapers subsequently reported on 9 February 2025 that the six-month agreement was worth ₦200 million, quoting the singer’s manager, Joseph Ikyobo, confirming the partnership. A separate Evermark Homes arrangement was reported as worth ₦300 million.
The announcements establish that the partnerships had been publicised; they do not independently verify the amounts paid or how the car was financed.
No response addressing the specific allegations from B-Red, Armstrong Paints, Evermark Homes or FCMB was located in the sources reviewed as of 21 October. No conclusion of wrongdoing can be drawn from the material reviewed.
